At Ansdell Self Drive we have a wide variety of vans to suit a range of uses. All of our vans can be driven with a standard (3.5 tonne} driving licence.
The majority of our Fleet are Ford Transit Vans with the exception of a small number of others. A full list of all our vans, and their sizes can be found Below. Short Wheel Base (SWB) Ford Transit
Number in the Fleet: 8
The SWB Transit has a load length of just over 2.4m (8 feet) and a maximum width of 1.7m (5.5 feet)they are approx 1.4m (4.5ft) tall in the loading area All mesurments are excluding the wheel arches.
We have both the low-roof and semi-high top versions available with the semi-high roof giving you an internal load height of 1.7m (5.5 feet) which not only greatly increases the cubic capacity but also allows for more bulky items to fit through the larger rear doors.
We also have have select vans equipt with Roof-rack/Towball, please let us know when booking if you require the use of one of thes vans.
Short Wheel Base (SWB) Vauxhall Vivaro
Number in the Fleet: 1
Our Vauxhall Vivaro is slightly smaller than our SWB Ford Transits. This Van is also equipt with a roof-rack.
Medium wheel base (mwb) Ford Transit

Our Medium Wheel Base vans are a perfect halfway point between the long and short wheel bases. At 2.8m (9ft) and an extra foot in length compared to the short wheel base, you'll get extra loading space without comprimising on manoverability.
We have both standard and high-top versions for the same price with the high-top roof giving you an larger internal load height of 1.7m (5.5 feet) which increases the cubic capacity greatly but also allows for more bulky items to fit through the larger rear doors.

Long Wheel base (LWB) ford transit

The LWB Transit is longer version of both the SWB & MWB. The load length is increased to 3.3m (11 ft) and the width remains 1.7m (5.5 feet) excluding wheel arches. This allows for even larger loads
All of our LWB vans come with a high-top roof of 1.86m (6 feet) giving a total cubic capacity of just over 10m³. making easy to load almost anything through the large rear doors

long wheel base (LWB) Citroen relay

Our XLWB Citroen Relay is a similar size to our XLWB Ford Transit Vans and has the same basic features including rear & side doors. This is a large spacoius van & a perfect alternative for our luton vans during periods of unavailability.
XLong Wheel Base 'Jumbo' (XXL) Ford Transit
Number in the Fleet: 5
The XXL Transit is the longest of our standard vans. The load length is increased to a massive 4m (13 feet) and the width still remains 1.7m (5.5 feet) excluding wheel arches, allowing maximum space & making them perfect for small house moves.
Ford Transit Luton Box Van
Number in the Fleet: 3
The Largest van of our Transit fleet is the Ford Transit Luton Box Van. With the box dimensions measuring 4m x 2m x 2m and no wheel arches to worry about the van has a massive load capacity of 16 cubic metres.
These vans also come with an electric tail lift which will lift up to 500kg in weight to make it easier to load larger items. With a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 tonnes this van can be driven by anyone holding a normal car driving licence & is perfect for moving house.
Mercedes luton van

Our largest vans available are our premium line luton vans with a huge rear box and no wheel arches to worry about the van has a massive load capacity of over 18 cubic metres.
These vans also come with an electric tail lift which will lift up to 500kg in weight to make it easier to load larger items. With a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 tonnes this van can be driven by anyone holding a normal car driving licence & is perfect for moving house.
Please Note; although these vans are large the maxium weight limit is around 1000kg depending on fuel level - this is a legal limit, please ensure you are operating within the scope of the law when loading
